Queen B

Beyoncé to me is the no1 icon of today. She is independent, strong and inspirational. She is creative in as many ways possible. While the world thought she was being a mom, she was a mom and at the same time shaping her killer body and creating a new album.

This is a true modern woman following her dreams and goals not afraid of being a woman. It is so inspiring following her and her adventures. I also love that she shows her curves and not afraid of being a modern Sophia Loren icon. She is never afraid of being Fierce, Glamourous and without make up – showing off her every day persona.

She is a mother and a wife and always makes sure she has quality time for loved ones always working on the life balance. That is an inspirational woman, doing her very best being the best she ever can.

This Christmas she gave me a perfect Xmas surprise by launching her best album so far. Modern, feminine, raw, sexy, funky fresh collaborating with some of the greatest artists today. Launching her album the way she did without any notice. That is the modern way of creativity – doing it your own way.

This is a post with Love all dedicated to Queen B.

Russian Red

Russian Red is a singer / songwriter from Spain who has become something of asmall indie phenomenon across Europe. The touring singer began her career at small clubs in Madrid but has quickly gone on to play at larger venues and festivals.Russian Red, which is actually named Lourdes Hernandez, released in 2008 their debut album “I Love Your Glasses”, an album that was widely and quickly went gold in their home country Spain. The name Russian Red Lourdes has taken from her favorite lipstick and by her own admission, it is because she loves how it is pronounced.

New album Fuerteventura is recorded, produced and mixed in Glasgow by Tony Doogan has worked with names such as Belle & Sebastian, David Byrne, Mogwai,Teenage Fanclub. Three of the members of Belle & Sebastian also participating on the album where they play instruments and sings background vocals. Fuerteventura contains eleven track and first single, ”I Hate You But I Love You,” has a nostalgic, melancholic feeling about it. Russian Red says that the song is about how you can look up to someone so much that you yourself end up in the shade. The overall theme for the album’s songs, emotions and affects everything from sadness to joy and optimism.

It takes a fool to remain sane..

This fantastic talented group- The Ark have decided to say goodbye to the audience and go separate ways. This weekend I went to see them for the last time.
They entertained with their best concert ever and closed down with a big show and alot of love for us to remember forever.

I have known this stars since I was a teenager and I have created dreams together with them and they have taught me many beautiful things.
They have always been great inspirations and artists and friends. It has been a great journey and I wish them all the very best for their future. Thank you Ola, Mikael, Martin, Lasse, Jens & Sylvester.
I wish you all the very best!! Thank you for this fantastic time!!

The video is from Italys summer show Festivalbar 2001, and for you who never knew how big they really where in Italy during this year here you might get a glimpse.

Baby Baby, I feel these sweet sensations
Honey honey, looks like a superstar
She’ got a promise of love-struck fascination

Tribute to Monica Zetterlund

She is Swedens greatest Jazz singer all times!!
Growing up in Hagfors Sweden she began by learning the classic jazz songs from radio and records, initially not knowing the language and what they sang about in English. She went for the melody, rhythm and feeling.
In 1964 she recorded the critically acclaimed jazz album Waltz for Debby with Bill Evans, a record she herself described as “the best I’ve done” and was most proud of.

Her long career also included working together with the greatest international jazz names including Louis Armstrong, Bill Evans, Stan Getz, Steve Kuhn and Quincy Jones.

Rest in Peace Monica!! Your voice will live forever!!
